Position: Package Manager - Externals

Location: West London

Salary: £65,000 plus package

The Employer:

Our client, a Top-5 UK Main Contractor, with a turnover in excess of £1bn, are looking to appoint a Site Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of one of the largest regeneration schemes in the UK. This top-10 UK main contractor has an excellent brand and a very healthy pipeline of projects with 11 live schemes in the London region at the moment.

The project in West London comprises construction of a very large residential development including over 600 units and commercial space. Total project value is in excess of £155 million.

Site Manager:

This is a well-run project with a strong team, so we are looking for a professional candidate who sets high standards with their methods of work and management style. The successful applicant will need significant experience in large scale, complex residential developments in the London region and a strong background in external works and packages.

Requirements:

  • Candidate will be CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certified
  • Must have experience managing finishing trades/packages on high-spec residential projects
  • Experience working for main contractors is preferable
  • Strong management, organisational and communication skills are a must
  • Should live within easy commutable distance to the London region.

Typical Duties:

  • Management of the subcontract workforce
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance to design and specification
  • Maintain records & maintain detailed diary.
  • Ensure awareness of planned work that concern your responsibility on site.
  • Have a clear understanding of planned work and communicate this to the team.
  • Assist the contract in achieving operational standards.
  • Checking permits to work.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the production of accurate and timely material reconciliations
  • Attend site meetings with the main contractors, sub-contractors and client to communicate planned work
  • Deliver the project snag-free
