Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: London

Salary: £80-90K

Package: 10% bonus, £6,500 travel, pension, private medical, life insurance, training & development

The Employer:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced quantity surveyor, looking to take their career to the next level. Our client is an industry-leader, specialising in iconic prime residential developments and renowned for their excellent career prospects.

They are seeking to employ an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a prestigious development in London. Senior Quantity Surveyor:

You will be based on a major development, specifically you will have responsibility for your own phase of works, consisting of 250 high specification units, a mix of medium-rise RC framed construction, and low-rise RC framed construction, 10 storeys at its highest. You will take the phase of works from cradle-to-grace i.e. procurement through to final accounts.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to improve their CV with a landmark project & highly respected employer.

Requirements:

  • You should be degree/college educated in quantity surveying or construction related subject
  • Your background will be working for Main Contractors or Housing Developers
  • You will have a strong understanding of the JCT form of contract & its execution
  • You will live in, or within commutable distance to London
  • Membership of the appropriate institution i.e RICS

Typical Duties:

  • Procurement of Sub-Contract packages
  • Managing/Negotiation of Sub-Contract packages.
  • Produce monthly commercial reports.
  • Monthly financial reviews.
  • Cash flow forecasting.
  • Validation of Contracts.
  • To agree and resolve final accounts.
  • Manage and implementation the insurances for the work packages.
  • Cost value reconciliations and the variation's procedures.
  • Risk and opportunity management procedures.
