Position: Project Manager

Location: Chelsea, London

Salary: £90,000 + package (Car, Travel, Bonus, Pension, Health, Phone, Laptop)

Duration: Permanent


The Employer:

Our client, a leading Developer/ Main Contractor are looking to appoint a Project Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of their landmark project in London. The position has very strong potential for onward career progression through the wider business. They are a top tier main contractor with an excellent reputation.

The project in Chelsea comprises construction of a very well-known luxury residential development. Total project value is in excess of £650m.

Project Manager:

Reporting to the Project Director and Senior management team, your main responsibilities will be effective Project Management through the organisation and coordination of Construction Managers and Subcontractors. You will also have a large part to play in ensuring the health and safety management plan is being adhered to by the subcontractors. This is a well-run project with a strong team, so we are looking for a professional candidate who sets high standards with their methods of work and management style.

The successful applicant will need significant experience managing all stages of a build including but not limited to façade works, cut & carve, rc frame & steel structures. You will be responsible for managing the team right through the hand over.


  • Candidate will be CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certified
  • Must have project management experience on high-spec residential projects
  • Previous experience as the lead PM on projects £30m and above
  • Experience working for main contractors or developer is preferable
  • Strong management, organisational and communication skills are a must

Typical Duties:

  • Management of the subcontract workforce
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance to design and specification
  • Maintain records & maintain detailed diary.
  • Ensure awareness of planned work that concern your responsibility on site.
  • Have a clear understanding of planned work and communicate this to the team.
  • Assist the contract in achieving operational standards.
  • Checking permits to work.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the production of accurate and timely material reconciliations
  • Attend site meetings with the main contractors, sub-contractors and client to communicate planned work
  • Deliver the project snag-free
