The successful applicant will need significant experience in large scale, complex residential developments in the London region. You will be responsible for executing single or multiple projects from the pre-construction stage to handover and beyond to support the delivery of the business objectives. This could also include the management of internal staff, M&E Co-ordinators and contractors and quality inspectors.

  • Manage the process of designing the solutions for the project to meet or exceed customers' expectations, take full responsibility for all the M&E packages
  • Identify contractual, financial, technical and operational risks and find opportunities for value engineering
  • Minimise risk and maximise gross profit on contracts proactively support all commercial activities
  • Responsible for ensuring that the project delivers to the agreed time, cost, service specification and presentation.
  • Manage the process of designing the solution(s) for the project to meet or exceed customers'
  • Support the generation of tenders
  • Determine building services requirements and support the design process.
  • Conduct value engineering.
  • Manage statutory utilities to work within project budgets.
  • Work with the M&E Manager/Head of Design to determine the external consultant's capacity, capability and competency for the projects
  • Support the winning of contracts while minimising risk and maximising gross profit in particular to determine building services requirements and to support the evaluation and selection of sub-contractors.
  • Assist in proposing, selecting & appointing external design consultants, sub-contractors and specialists
  • Support the process of assessing, preparing, including post-tender activities, validating, adjudication and final submission of building services tenders on time and to the required quality
  • Manage the process of developing the building services solutions to meet customers' requirements.
  • Support negotiations with the customer for the design solution adopted at the end of the bidding proces
  • Assess, control and mitigate risks to identify technical and operational risks within tenders and to find opportunities to minimise these risks.
  • Arrange and chair building services meetings with Consultants and sub-contractors/specialists and keep accurate records.
  • Support the project teams to fulfil contracts safely, on time, and to the required quality while minimising costs. Monitor building services installation progress Leadership qualities
  • Excellent contract & commercial awareness
  • Experience in the social/affordable housing and healthcare sectors.
  • Management of Design Consultants
  • Construction/design related further education
  • Construction/design related HNC/HND/Degree
  • Member of Professional Body CIOB/CIBSE/RICS (membership of a professional body is preferable but not essential)
  • Valid CSCS cardAbility to manage/deliver multiple schemes concurrently
