Position: Construction Manager / Package Manager

Sector: Enabling Works, Structures, Basements - Major Project

Location: London, Battersea

Senior Construction Manager:

A fantastic permanent job-opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Manager, to join a respected & highly desirable employer.

The employer is an award-winning UK-based main-contractor, with a very strong reputation in the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced candidate to work on a flagship major project in Battersea.

The Project:

Major development in Battersea, total value circa £700m, with a programme of 7 years.

The Role:

The early stages of the project involve demolition of large structures and a large building. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of the Civils Package from this point through to delivery and handover of concrete frames with all associated Civils Works. There will be opportunity to develop this role further as the project progresses.

Package Management and construction lead on all Civils Packages to including;

  • Demolition
  • Basement and remediation
  • Sheet and CFA piling
  • Remediation
  • Sub and Super Structure
  • S278 work
  • Hard and soft landscaping


  • Line Manger to team of 3 responsible for delivery of Civils Packages set out above
  • Temporary Works Co-ordinator for the project
  • Contribute to design team meetings as required
  • Work with wider team on each package scope
  • Regular reporting and progress update to Construction and Project Director
  • Ensure H&S standards and procedures are maintained or exceeded
  • Challenge and develop methodology and sequence to ensure optimum result for the project
  • Ensure QA procedures are correct, maintained and adhered to
  • Liaise with all department, contractors and consultants to ensure successful delivery of the packages above


  • Engineering Qualification (essential)
  • Asta power project
  • Basic AutoCAD
  • IT skills and report writing skills
  • Temporary Work Coordinator (essential)
  • SMSTS qualified
  • First Aid
  • Experience with managing and delivery of Civil Engineering projects similar to that outlined above
