Role: Site Engineer

Duration: 18- 24 Months

Employer: Top-10 UK Main Contractor

Location: Burgess Hill

Starting: September 2021

Rate:£45k

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer, to join one of the UK's top contractors on a major Civil Engineering project in Burgess Hill, Sussex. The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out and Surveying. All works within your dedicated section.

The Employer

The employer is a multi-award-winning top-10 UK main contractor, with a turnover in excess of £1billion per annum.

The Project

The project consists of bulk earthworks, deep drainage, infrastructure, carriageway construction, RC sub structure, RC Super structure, Bridges, Culverts, Public realm, Street Lighting, Kerbing and foundations.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Site Engineer will report to a Senior Engineer. Duties will include;

  • Setting out
  • Experience with S278
  • Highway's experience
  • Sheet Pilling
  • Earthworks and Drainage experience
  • Producing accurate topographical and as-built surveys
  • Volumetric calculations of materials
  • Quality assurance
  • Interpretation of technical drawings and information
  • Supporting the project team with ant technical queries
  • Working closely with the design team to ensure feasibility
  • Attending site meetings as required
  • Some supervision of onsite labour
  • Some reporting
  • Some Health and Safety

Requirements:

  • Must have CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS and First Aid
  • Must have at least 3- 5 years' experience
  • Should be from main contractor background
  • Live within commutable distance
  • Should have a degree or college qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction related subject.
  • Must be able to operate LEICA Robotic Instruments
  • Must have own laptop with Auto CAD Installed
  • Must have driving licence and car
