Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead - Coventry - Civil Engineering

This opportunity would suit either a Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking a step up or Managing Quantity Surveyor. To be part of one of the regions busiest infrastructure teams. Part of a wider group, the individual business unit forecasts turnover for 2025 of circa £250m. Initially you will be acting as the key client interface on an £80m civils infrastructure project with 3 direct reports on the scheme

Overview

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead

Sector Focus: Roads, Highways, Structures

Experience: Previous work history of project based Surveying on projects £25m+

Employment Type: Salary

Employer: National Contractor. Predominantly Midlands & Home Counties projects

Duties

• Primary contact and accountability for the project
• Maintain upstream communication to clients and internal teams by way of reporting and forecasting
• Assessing change notifications inline with the contract conditions
• Close liaison and collaborative team work with the project team
• Sound knowledge of forms of contract
• Value engineering and cost optimisation
• Mentoring QS reports on site
