About the company

My client is a well respected global Civil Engineering contractor, with their UK business turning over circa£10bn. They work with both public and private sector clients including the specialist sectors of highways and marine. Theyare working withinhighways,infrastructure, aviation, water frameworks, marine projects and general heavy civils schemes. The projects involve a lot of concrete works, deep drainage, piling, structures and earthworks - valued between £20-£150m.

About the Role

My client is currently seeking a Senior Bid Manager to oversee and coordinate tender submissions for the contracts team with bid values up to £150M, mainly within London and the South East. The successful candidate will join a preconstruction bid team to work alongside for major projects including highways, infrastructure, aviation and ports/marine.

The role will include:

  • Regular meetings with key stakeholders and sub-contractors to build strong relationships.
  • Prepare presentations and lead on mid-bid presentations and post submission presentations.
  • Liaise with, coordinate and manage the bid team.
  • Attend pre and post award meetings with clients to facilitate operational and commercial handover of the project.

Requirements

  • Vast experience with the Pre-Construction process and attention to detail adding quality/technical input to tenders.
  • Degree qualified within Civil Engineering.
  • Experience working for a Tier one main contractor within Civil Engineering.
