Position: Recruitment Consultant

Location: Unite People Ltd, Warnford Court, Throgmorton St, London, EC2N 2AT

Duration: Permanent Position

Starting: December 2020 - January 2021

Earnings: Year 1 OTE £50K, Year 2 OTE £70K, Year 3 OTE £100K.

Package: Uncapped commission, private medical, pension, bonus, life insurance, phone, laptop

Who are we looking for to join the business?

We are seeking a driven and hungry recruitment consultant to work directly alongside the leaders of the business. We are looking for someone that has a real desire to join a hardworking and driven team of experts and someone that shows enthusiasm and a passion toward to developing their career.

There are two desks available at Unite People within the following teams;

  • Civil Engineering (Highways, Rail, Aviation, Water, Energy & Utilities)
  • Building / Construction (Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Leisure, Fit-Out, PRS)

Typically, we recruit for the following types of people;

  • Management (Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Agents, Foremen, Directors)
  • Engineering (Site Engineers, Senior Engineers, Section Engineers, Sub Agents)
  • Commercial (Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Cost Planners, Buyers, Commercial Management)
  • Planning (Project Planners, Planning Managers, Programme Managers)
  • Design (Design Managers, Design Coordinators, Design Engineers, Technical Managers)

Recruitment Consultant - The Role

  • Dependant on level of experience - you will be trained & developed up to successful 360 consultant level
  • Your director will work closely with you to build you a structured business plan
  • Clear, concise structured approach to building your desk - with constant support
  • You will become a market expert within your niche
  • Managing the complete recruitment lifecycle
  • Active and passive candidate attraction
  • Sourcing, screening & interviewing candidates
  • Sales activity across your client-base; relationship building, lead generation, calls, meetings, sourcing vacancies
  • Understanding your clients
  • Networking; attending industry events, visiting live projects, becoming an expert
  • Advertising vacancies & managing applications
  • Coordinating the interview & offer process
  • Negotiating & closing deals
  • Managing your contract/temporary workers to ensure they are compliant with relevant legislation
  • Gaining market intelligence
  • Growing your desk
  • Achieving & celebrating your success

Requirements:

  • You must have 1-2 years sales experience, B2B or Recruitment
  • You must be a graduate or have another formal qualification
  • You must be articulate with an excellent telephone manner - a natural rapport builder
  • You must be an ambitious, entrepreneurial, high achiever who is self-motivated to succeed
  • You must have good IT skills
  • You must be open to learning new skills, improving yourself and always striving to be the best
  • You must be a team player
  • You should live within easy commutable distance of our office at EC2N 2AT, City of London
