Project Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Freelance Quantity Surveyor - Manchester / Lancashire - Civil Engineering - £300 to £350 per day

I am currently recruiting a Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a Civil Engineering contractor based in the North West.

The successful candidate will have experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor and ideally have experience within Highways / Infrastructure & Public Realm Projects.

Duties

• Manage subcontractor packages
• Cost management
• Value/change management
• Maintaining project risk and opportunities schedule
• Assist in the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation, enquiries and negotiations
• Financial reporting
• Identification, preparation and negotiation of claims

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• 5 years industry experience
• Experience within Civil Engineering
• Good understanding of NEC forms of contract
• Strong communication skills
