Position: Permanent Site Engineer

Location: Crawley

Salary:£35,000 to £45,000 + Car Allowance + Holiday

Duration: PAYE Permanent Position

A great opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer. My client, a highly successful main contractor with an enviable reputation who have a £200 million turnover; are looking to appoint a Site Engineer on a new build industrial project in Crawley. The scheme is a £5m steel frame project which will be followed up by phase 3 in the same location.


As Site Engineer, you will report to a Senior engineer/Engineering manager, and will be responsible for;

  • Setting Out
  • Maintaining line & level control
  • Measurements & Calculations
  • Interpretation of technical drawings
  • Producing as-built and topographical surveys
  • Providing technical assistance to the project team where required
  • Coordinating the technical aspects of package handovers
  • QA where required
  • Checking the accuracy of sub-contractors work where required

Skills & Experience

Ideally you will be qualified to HNC level or above in an engineering or construction related subject, supported by 3+ years practical experience in the role of Site Engineer.

Specifically, you should have experience working on large steel framed Buildings, Groundwork Packages or Civil Engineering projects.
