Vacancy: Freelance Senior Site Manager

Unite People are working alongside a leading construction contractor to hire a Senior Site Manager, based in the North West of the UK to work on the construction of a new high-rise accommodation project.

You will be reporting to a Project Manager & Project Director, in order to successfully oversee the direct delivery of a multi-storey new build accommodation scheme. Works will include piling, foundations, RC frame Construction right through to cladding and fitout.

The successful individual will be self-motivated, forward-thinking, and have experience of self-delivery of new build high rise developments (PBSA, BTR etc.). You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the project.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Manages the relationship with the contractors onsite
  • Drive the project Programme
  • Drives the pace of the project, planning work ahead
  • Ensure there is an efficient monitoring and registration process in place for site staff
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout all phases of construction.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitors and control costs, budgets and commercial expectations on site.

Required Qualifications & Training

  • Trade or Engineering background
  • Experience of delivering RC frame construction, or overseeing new build high-rise schemes.
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Strong People Management experience
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and challenging stakeholders and/or sub-contractors
  • Strong people skills
