Unite People Build is working with a reputable major contractor, that requires a construction Senior Site Manager in the North West. They work with a handful of key public sector clients on negotiated national framework. Schemes range from around £5m to £50m in value and are predominantly New Build or extensive major refurbishments. The frameworks that they are part of, provide secured regional work in the North West year in year out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to facilitate successful delivery of construction from groundworks, to M&E and fit-out packages
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and lead team meetings, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
  • Alongside the Project Manager, oversee project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and address potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure safe working practices, inline with company processes
  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones and final delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Construction related qualification preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager
  • CSCS, First Aid, SMSTS
  • Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
