Quantity Surveyor - East Midlands - D&B Construction - £5m to £20m

Location: Coalville, Leicestershire, East Midlands

Employment: Salary £50,000 to £60,000

A privately owned construction principal contractor with offices in the East Midlands area. Is seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to work in a hybrid capacity; based between project, office and site. You will be part of a commercial team on design and build projects in and around the Midlands area. The business positions itself as a personable, yet multi-million pound privately owned contractor. Large enough to deliver £20m schemes, yet sustained at a level to maintain that personable feel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
• Management of sub-contractor accounts. Monthly valuations and variations
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

Experience / Background

• Construction related qualification
• Strong analytic and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in relevant IT software tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Project based experience
