Unite People Build are working with an established, specialist contractor to hire a Quantity Surveyor to work with their commercial team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be working with a privately owned company with 10+ years in the construction, M&E and fitout industry. You will be working with commercial team with excellent staff retention, which is currently growing and providing opportunities to progress.

The successful candidate be working with an established group of clients with an impressive order book already going forward into 2024 and beyond, with company turnover expected to increase by 30% next year.

You will play a pivotal role in the construction process, focusing on the thriving fit-out, retail, M&E and refurbishment market. With a strong pipeline of projects in across the UK.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Providing measurements with an agreed schedule of rates in place for large retail clients.
  • Procurement and negotiation of contracts
  • Value engineering and cost optimisation
  • Risk assessment and mitigation
  • Project financial reporting
  • Collaborative teamwork with site management, and stakeholders.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
