Position: QA Engineer / RC Frame

Location: West Midlands

Rate: Negotiable

Duration: 12 months +

Our client is a Main Contractor specialising in Commercial, Residential and Leisure developments and are renowned for their excellent quality of work. They are seeking to employ an experienced QA Site Engineer specialising in RC Frame Construction to work on a major scheme in the West Midlands.

QA Site Engineer:

You will come from a Construction Build background and have a proven track record of working on high rise reinforced concrete frame structures (above 10 storey) as a Site Engineer / QA Engineer. The early stages of the project will require you to set out: control, gridlines, piling, foundations and datums. From then on, the role is 90% QA/Checking.


  • Establishing control, gridlines and initial site set up
  • Setting out for piling and groundworks
  • Produce QA reports and other associated back office requirements
  • Checking for accuracy throughout the entire project
  • Knowledge of rebar
  • Issuing permits
  • Input into planning (short term look aheads)
  • Liaison with Subcontractors, Designers, Architects etc
  • Input and implementation of Site Safety
  • Coordination and management of Sub-contractors
  • Input into site meetings


  • CSCS
  • SMSTS / First Aid are preferable
  • Proven track record of delivering RC Frame projects at a QA Site Engineer
  • Exceptional levels of health and safety
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and a drive to get things done
  • Strong ICT Skills

You will be highly motivated and well organised demonstrating a high level of computer literacy and construction knowledge. Experience in the construction of high rise reinforced concrete structures is essential.
