Unite People are a specialist construction & building recruitment company, working with a specialist construction & fit out contractor to hire a small works Project Manager Yorkshire.

Our client are specialise in construction refurbishment and retail fit-out projects. They are hiring additional Management staff manage to oversee multiple new build and fast-track fit-out schemes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of fit-out construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Working pattern with be hybrid, including time spent on sites/ projects predominantly in the North of the UK and Midlands. Time will also be spent working a South Yorkshire office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all contractual elements of new build construction at fast-track fit-out projects.
  • Provide input to facilitate successful delivery of construction and M&E packages.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Oversee project budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and address potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones and final delivery.


  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Site or Project Manager
  • CSCS Card
  • Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
