An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager. Our client is a well-known Main Contractor specialising in Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial and Residential developments and renowned for their excellent quality of work. They are seeking to employ an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The first project will be a £35m Residential project in West Yorkshire.

Project Manager:

You will come from a Construction Build background and have a proven track record of running JTC and NEC projects from inception to completion to the value of £30m in the residential and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead/manage a site team to ensure they undertake their duties to the best of their ability, in accordance with company requirements.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the client/Contracts Managers, as required.
  • To help input into tender enquiries and prepare or assist with preparation of Bills or price and assemble bid/contract documentation (number of visits/programme durations etc).
  • Be able to monitor/prepare programmes and phasing documents and have the ability to discuss confidently with all parties.
  • To establish and maintain a professional looking and safe site.
  • Understand design issues and suggest VE where practical; preparing, checking and establishing specifications where appropriate.
  • Ensure subcontractors perform their activities to programme/quality and to support the surveyors with the subcontractor payments/disputes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • CSCS / SMSTS / First Aid
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience running JCT and NEC Contracts
  • The ability to use your own initiative and work autonomously
  • Exceptional levels of health and safety
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and a drive to get things done
  • Strong ICT Skills

You will be highly motivated and well organised demonstrating a high level of computer literacy and construction knowledge. This role will suit someone from a construction project management background. Experience in the Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial and Residential sectors would be advantageous.
