Position: Senior QS - Facades and Cladding

Location: East London

Rate: £300 - £400 per day (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Senior QS, looking to take their next contract on in East London. Our client is an industry-leader, specialising in the residential sector and renowned for their excellent projects and high end finishes. They are seeking to employ an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their company focusing on projects in East London.

The Project:

£300m residential scheme in East London

Senior Quantity Surveyor:

You will be project-based and be reporting to a Commercial Director. You will be overseeing the cladding and facade works on the project through to handover and final accounts.

Requirements:

• Should be degree educated or similar
• Should have demonstrable track record with main contractors or sub-contractors
• You will be experienced in the effective commercial running of building projects.
• You will have a good understanding of the JCT form of contract
• You will live in or within commutable distance to East London
• Be able to interview / start immediatley

Typical Duties:

• Procurement of Sub-Contract packages
• Managing/Negotiation of Sub-Contract packages.
• Produce monthly commercial reports.
• Monthly financial reviews.
• Cash flow forecasting.
• Validation of Contracts.
• To agree and resolve final accounts.
• Manage and implementation the insurances for the work packages.
• Cost value reconciliations and the variation's procedures.
• Risk and opportunity management procedures.
