An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager. Our client is an industry-leader, specialising in Commercial and Residential developments and renowned for their excellent quality of work. They are seeking to employ an experienced Design Manager to join their team on a prestigious project in West Yorkshire

The Project:

  • £35m Residential project in West Yorkshire
  • Completion 2020

Design Manager:

This project involves leading the design process from inception through to completion on a large construction project in West Yorkshire. The project has been secured, will start in September 2018 and is will complete September 2020.

Requirements:

  • Finalising key aspects of the design
  • Assessing technical information for buildability and value engineering opportunities
  • Attending and chairing regular design meetings
  • Agreeing and enforcing the design schedule
  • Maintaining regular liaison with architects, consultants and the production team to ensure the smooth flow of information for the project
  • Checking for compliance with client requirements, contractor's proposals and building legislation
  • Resolving issues where necessary throughout the project lifecycle

You will be highly motivated and well organised demonstrating a high level of computer literacy and technical construction knowledge. This role will suit someone from an architectural, engineering, or main contracting project management background. Experience in the High Rise and Residential / Commercial sectors would be advantageous.
