Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor, looking for an opportunity to fast-track your career in Construction? Our client is an industry-leader, specialising in Commercial and Residential developments and are renowned for their excellent career prospects. They are seeking to employ an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a prestigious project in West Yorkshire

The Project:

  • £35m Residential project in West Yorkshire
  • Completion 2020

Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

You will be project-based and join a commercial team from the beginning. A Senior QS & QS will assist and support you throughout the job.

Requirements:

  • Specific experience with JCT Contracts and high rise residential projects
  • Preferably degree educated with a solid track record on build projects
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to get things done
  • Good communicator, who thrives on a challenge
  • Based in West Yorkshire

Typical Duties:

  • Assisting the quantity surveyor in all commercial matters
  • Attending financial reviews
  • Preparing reports
  • Collating figures
  • Learning & understanding the JCT contract.
  • Identify areas for cost control
  • Assist the QS in preparation of accounts
  • Assist the QS in preparation of pricing submissions
